About Emilija Veselova

Hi,

My name is Emilija Veselova and i will be the person to turn to if there are any questions and any help needed.

In fall 2011 I started the Degree Program in Media as one of the international students to gain knowledge in the field of Audiovisual production and project management. So far there have been a couple of opportunities to try myself as a manager and Tampere Art Factory along with Finland International Improv Festival will be my real-life hands on experiences in Event production.

Starting February, 2012 I will be working as a trainee at Tampere University of Applied sciences a.k.a.TAMK working as a project assistant for the International Week of TAF. Under supervision of Cai Melakoski and Sohvi Sirkesalo, I will carry out external communication, follow the preparation process of workshops and deal with practical arrangements like accommodation, registration forms and recreational activities to ensure that your stay here is pleasant.

If there are any questions, concerns and a need of support please let me know. I will try my best to help you.

Ikuinen Gallery

Ikuinen gallery is a contemporary art project space located in the old factory complex Finlayson in central Tampere. The gallery is run by a board of fine art students in Tampere UAS School of Art and Media as part of their study program. Ikuinen gallery’s main focus is in presenting interesting and high quality student work, whereas work from other art school students and teachers as well as visiting artists are regularly also at show.

TAF project 24 h in Tampere success in Europe

One of the TAF International Week 2011 workshop outcomes, the 24 hours in Tampere project, has been screened in Istanbul and Graz and also further developed during MindTrek in Tampere.

Trent Pancy, Richard Vickers, Anna-Kaisa Nässi and Erika Kim developed
the project further in September in Tampere

The project has also been selected for the 15th International Video Festival VIDEOMEDEJA, in Novi Sad, Serbia.

TAF goes to Youth Award Festival in Graz

World Summit Youth Awards Winners Festival will open tomorrow in Graz, Austria. Today our second year Media students, 10IMPs will travel to Graz to be a part of the festival.

The WSYA selects and promotes best practice in e-Content. It demonstrates young people's potential to create outstanding digital contents and serves as a platform for people from all UN member states to work together in the efforts to reach the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Next TAF International Week May 7-11 2012

The 2012 and fifth edition of Tampere Art Factory will be May 7-11, and the opening weekend of Tampere Art Factory Festival May 11-12.
